 I have not been able to put down The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - the crime thriller by Swedish author Steig Larsson. Translated from the original Swedish, it's a fast-paced story with complex, fascinating characters.
Larsson's writing style is almost minimalist and austere. I'm not sure if it's the translation or just the way he wrote, but it makes for interesting reading, and I have just devoured this book. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the first in Larsson's Millennium Trilogy, published after the author's death in 2004.
I cannot wait to read the next two entries: The Girl who Played with Fire and The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.
