Buon giorno! Sono in vacanza in Italia! If my Rosetta Stone serves me correctly, I just said: Hello! I'm on vacation in Italy! 


I have wanted to come to Italy for so long, and I knew I might not have the chance if I waited any longer. We will start filming Hot In Cleveland within a matter of weeks, and I cannot wait! Here's some more information about the show from TV Land, plus a clip from the pilot. Also, I have just a little over one month of training and fund-raising to go before I run the Boston Marathon for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 


While we're in Rome, Florence and Venice, I will be running and eating and running some more to burn off those calories. My Guys - trainer Christopher Ross Lane and my boyfriend Tom - put together some thoughts on how we stay in shape even when we're on the road. Plus, I have some fun family photos from my recent trip to my hometown, Wilmington, Delaware. I hope you enjoy them - and stay tuned, I know I'll have a ton of pictures and stories to tell from my vacation!

Great idea about wearing heels when public speaking. I always forget to breathe too. Suggesting to physically slow down will help you mentally slow down - brilliant! Can't wait to read more . . .

Valerie - I have enjoyed reading both of your books.
You are a true inspiration for women everywhere. And a refreshing change to the famous people plastered on the covers of the weekly tabloids.

I'm sure this is not where you thought you'd end up - but we're glad it's where you did!

I just downloaded your first book on Itunes last week and I have been riveted by it ever since. Thank you so much for your candor! I downloaded your new book yesterday and plan to start listening to it after the Chargers game today. I have lost 50 pounds myself over the past year and I understand the ups and downs of weight loss.... By the way, I met Drew Brees a few years ago when he was the QB for the Chargers (go Chargers!). What a nice guy! I was sad to see him to to the Saints but have been a Saints fan ever since!
