Our first season of Hot in Cleveland concludes with the big finale tonight, and what a whirlwind this has been! (Literally)

We shot the pilot in February... and had a hit in June. In just six months, this wonderful show went from an idea to an international sensation. I've been in this industry for a while and I keep having to remind our TV Land crew: This just doesn't happen! We caught lightning in a bottle! It's not this easy!

But it has been wonderful.

I have really enjoyed working with my fabulous leading ladies - Jane, Wendie and Betty. We've had so many incredible guest stars, and as always, the talented people behind the cameras are as skilled and thoughtful as those of us in front of them. I have enjoyed my character Melanie - and it's so easy to assume this role because I can identify with her. She's a Mom who has reinvented her life. It makes it easier to remember and deliver her lines, and she is a lot like me. I can't wait until next season as I get to know her better.

Thank you again for your enthusiasm and support - and for watching Hot in Cleveland

My very best to you,

PS - Here's a bonus clip of an interview I did for Talk Stoop on NBC New York. Enjoy!

Great idea about wearing heels when public speaking. I always forget to breathe too. Suggesting to physically slow down will help you mentally slow down - brilliant! Can't wait to read more . . .

Valerie - I have enjoyed reading both of your books.
You are a true inspiration for women everywhere. And a refreshing change to the famous people plastered on the covers of the weekly tabloids.

I'm sure this is not where you thought you'd end up - but we're glad it's where you did!

Wishing you continued success and much happiness in 2010.

I just downloaded your first book on Itunes last week and I have been riveted by it ever since. Thank you so much for your candor! I downloaded your new book yesterday and plan to start listening to it after the Chargers game today. I have lost 50 pounds myself over the past year and I understand the ups and downs of weight loss.... By the way, I met Drew Brees a few years ago when he was the QB for the Chargers (go Chargers!). What a nice guy! I was sad to see him to to the Saints but have been a Saints fan ever since!

Keep up the good work! You are a true inspiration to all women!

April 19th! Nice Val...can't think of a better way of spending 'Patriot's Day' than in support of the Dana-Farber cause!
