WE DID IT! Christopher and I finished the 114th Boston Marathon in 5 hours, 14 minutes, 37 seconds. Not only did we run 26.2 miles - with 25,000 others - we also raised more than $16,500 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The men's champion, Robert Kiprono Cheruiyot of Kenya set a course record in 2:05:52, while the women's champion Teyba Erkesso of Ethiopia  finished in 2:26:11. Sure, it took them less than half as long to run their races, but I know I had twice as much fun. I could hear people cheering for me, and it kept my spirits buoyed and my legs light.
