As Van Halen prepared for their 2007-08 World Tour - and Wolfgang prepared to ease into the roll of professional musician - they held a "Friends and Family Show" at the Los Angeles Forum. I don't know who was more nervous - my boy or me! We had a small gathering at the house to see him off, and when the car came to pick him up, I got a little teary-eyed - though Wolfie didn't want to have any part of that. Fortunately my girlfriends were there to give me support. When he got to the Forum, though, Wolfie was a bundle of nerves but he had his Dad, his Uncle Al and his Uncle Pat to keep him calm. I was so proud of him when he took the stage - he performed flawlessly, and he found me after the show to give me a hug. There were about 20 of his friends from school at the show, and they gathered afterward to congratulate him. Even if Wolfie is a rock star, he's still my little boy! I hope you enjoy these memories of this very special show.
