TV Land announces new sitcom `Hot in Cleveland'
By FRAZIER MOORE (AP)
NEW YORK — TV Land says it's hot on "Hot in Cleveland," a sitcom pilot the network is rushing into production for airing this summer.
The series, confirmed Monday, will star sitcom veterans Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick.
The multi-camera comedy revolves around three eccentric best friends from Los Angeles who, by a quirk of fate, set up housekeeping under the same roof as they discover the new world of Cleveland. Initially 10 episodes are planned.
As an original scripted comedy, "Hot in Cleveland" is a departure for TV Land, best known for airing vintage comedies and dramas. More recently, the network has added reality programming.
Viacom Inc.'s TV Land is also considering a series pickup for a second sitcom pilot starring George Segal.

I just recently joined Twitter, because I wanted the opportunity to communicate with you.
I have been a fan of yours since the days of "One Day at a Time" and I simply love "Hot in Cleveland". I also sent you this message on Twitter with my photo. I was born with Cerebral Palsy, and work for a company that hires people with disabilities in the U.S. and Canada. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and again, I wish you all the best with the new season of "Hot. . ." Best wishes always, Lee
