Slow Cooker Steel Cut Oats

Instructions
1. Combine the oats, bananas, cinnamon stick, and nutmeg in a 6 quart slow cooker with 7 1/2 cups water and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Cook on low for 8 hours.
2. Serve the oatmeal with your desired toppings.

1 1/2 cups steel cut oats
2 very ripe bananas, mashed
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Kosher salt
Suggested toppings: toasted nuts; fresh or dried berries; maple syrup; ground cinnamon; coconut milk, almond milk, or dairy milk
